Dear Participants, Dear Colleagues, Dear Friends of the Chopin 1st International Piano Competition for Children and Young Pianists,

We are very happy to have an announcement about the results of the Chopin 1st International Piano Competition for Children and Young Pianists, 24 - 30 April 2021 in Istanbul, Turkey.

We already know the names of the winners. For all the winners of the Chopin 1st International Piano Competition for Children and Young Pianists, 24 - 30 April 2021 in Istanbul, Turkey, we would like to congratulate the prize winners, and we would like to congratulate also all your professors and teachers, and your parents, and all the people who helped you, who spent a lot of time and work together with you on your preparation for to taking part in the competition. You showed yourself to the public as representing a high level talent in playing the piano. This gave us a bright hope for the future of the younger generation of musicians, who will continue, and will take care about what is the most beautiful and the most valuable treasure in the world, which is - music.   

Also, for those who did not receive prizes this time, we are very thankful for your a very great effort to prepare yourself and to send us your video recordings with your piano performances.  This opportunity will give you also a way to improve your level of the performances in the nearest future.

All the participants will receive the participation diplomas of the Chopin 1st International Piano Competition for Children and Young Pianists, 24 - 30 April 2021 in Istanbul, Turkey.

ALL THE PRIZES FOR THE WINNERS AND PARTICIPATION'S DIPLOMAS, DUE TO THE PANDEMIC SITUATION, WILL BE SEND AFTER A LOCKDOWN, which is in Turkey at the moment until the 17th of May, 2021.

Especially, I would like to thank the General Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Istanbul for their patronage of the Chopin 1st International Piano Competition for Children and Young Pianists, 24 - 30 April 2021 in Istanbul, Turkey.

The 1st PRIZE of the rector of the Maltepe University , Prof. Dr ŞAHİN KARASAR, is received by:

- Józef Domżał - Poland - 10 000 TL.

 

The 2nd PRIZE winners in the Chopin 1st International Piano Competition for Children and Young Pianists, 24 - 30 April 2021, in Istanbul, Turkey the Prize of THE CHOPIN INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY of the TOVAK Foundation in Turkey  - 5 000 TL, will be shared between:

- Sonia Schwabe - Poland - 2 500 TL,

and

- Maciej Smoląg - Poland - 2 500 TL.

 

The 3rd PRIZE winners in the Chopin 1st International Piano Competition for Children and Young Pianists, 24 - 30 April 2021, in Istanbul, Turkey, the the Prize of THE NURİ İYİCİL INTERNATIONAL CLASSICAL MUSIC ASSOCIATION in TURKEY - 2 500 TL, will be shared between:

A SPECIAL PRIZE - GIFT is offered by the TOVAK Foundation for the best interpretation of the J. S. BACH - piano music piecethe Prelude from English Suite in G Minor BWV 808 to:

A SPECIAL PRIZE - GIFT is offered by the TOVAK Foundation for the best interpretation of the F. Chopin - piano music piece the Barcarolle in F Sharp Major, op. 60, National Edition, to:

Results for the 1st Age Category, pianists up to 13 years old:

In the Chopin 1st International Piano Competition for Children and Young Pianists, 24 - 30 April 2021 in Istanbul, Turkey: 

The 1st PRIZE winners will share the Prize of the Rector of Maltepe University, Prof. Dr. ŞAHİN KARASAR - 10 000 TL, it is received by:

- İlyun Bürkev - Turkey - 5 000 TL,

and

- Jakub Staniszewski - Poland - 5 000 TL.

 

The 2nd PRIZE is not awarded.

Therefore The Chopin International Academy of TOVAK Foundation decided to share the prize OF THE CHOPIN INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY of the TOVAK Foundation in Turkey - 5 000 TL, between:

 and

- Jakub Staniszewski - Poland - 2 500 TL.

- Jakub Staniszewski - Poland.

 

A SPECIAL PRIZE - GIFT is offered by the TOVAK Foundation for the best interpretation of the F. Chopin - piano music piecethe Fantasie Impromptu C Sharp Minor op. 66 by Henle Verlag Editors to: 

- İlyun Bürkev - Turkey.

ONLINE COMPETITION STARTED

CHOPIN 1st Interntational Piano Competition for Children and Young Pianists has already started today for the 1. age category pianists.

Under the patronage of Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Istanbul.

The competition will be held in two age categories, for each category ;

First Prize 10.000 TL,

 (Will be given by T.C.Maltepe University.)

Second Prize 5000 TL,

(Will be given by the Chopin International Academy of TOVAK Foundation)

Third Prize is 2500 TL.

(Will be given by Nuri İyicil International Classical Music Association.)
